Mascara Hair

This is what happens when you leave the bathroom door open and
your 21 month old gets a hold of mascara....

Take a good look at the hair.
I personally believe she thought the mascara comb was a hair brush.

Unfortunately I did not get a full body shot.
Mascara was in between every toe and all over her feet:)

Idaho

A couple of weekends ago we headed to Idaho to visit my brother Clint and his fabulous wife Haylee!
We flew up to Salt Lake and drove from there 2 hours to little ole Pocatello.
Haylee and Clint go to Idaho State University and live in a really cute apartment just a short walk away from campus. It was so great to see them and we had so much fun!

beware: picture overload

Navy covered my face with her blankie. I guess she didn't
want me in the picture?

Navy and Brock did great on their first plane ride! Navy colored, watched movies and kept climbing on the back of her seat to see Grandma and the boys

While we were up there Clint and Haylee wanted to show us their favorite pet store. Navy was in heaven. She loves animals!

future parents:)

Clint and Haylee both had home games so we got to see them in action.

 navy LOVED the mascot!

We also celebrated Clint's birthday while we were there. Happy 25th!!
These two yahoos slept most of the trip

And  I can't forget Navy's animal friends she made...

This squirrel was always in their backyard.  Navy and Haylee fed her granola and she kept coming back for more!

Zorba

(Zorba and I on my wedding day)

Yesterday Zorba (my grandpa who is Greek and likes to refer to himself as Zorba) was doing what "normal" 76 year olds do. He was running around backwards in a parking lot. Pretty soon he says he was flying through the air. He landed on his ribs and one broke. That rib punctured his lung and so to the hospital he went.

He is coming home today or tomorrow so my mom decided to have his house all clean and his jungle of a front yard mowed before he gets home. She asked me if I'd help her with the house part so this morning that is what we did.
We cleaned that sucker good and boy was it messy! Navy and Brock helped too of course.

I feel like I haven't done any service for anyone in such a long while. I have had a lot of people serve me lately....bringing dinners, watching the kids etc.etc. I am so thankful for all of my friends and family who always help me out! Today though it felt so great to serve someone else instead of the other way around. I hope that I will look for more opportunities to serve other people and do it on a regular basis.

And Zorba I hope you get to feeling better!!

Bonding

Navy & Brock have officially bonded!
It took a couple of days for Navy to get used to having him around, but she loves him to pieces! She thinks it is so funny when he cries and will laugh. She also likes to button and unbutton his onesie when I change his diaper and she likes to pat his head and his back and gives him kisses!

 Best buddies:)

Baby Brock is Here!

Guess what! I had a baby!
Brock Daniel Shreeve
Born 8/29/10
12:57AM
(You can tell what time it is by the expression on my face)

He weighed 7lbs 5oz. and measured 19 1/2 inches long.  Here is Grandma Darcel with Brock!
She had worked Saturday from 7am to 7pm and then stayed with me right after till 3:30 in the morning. What a trooper!

Megs was there too. She had to deal with Navy all day while I chilled in a hospital bed doped up on epidural. Yum!
Here is Navy after meeting Brock. ......
It didn't go so well

She is mad at me

She wouldn't touch or look at Brock but she did like pushing him around the halls.
She almost rammed him into a wall!

Snip Snip

Navy has officially grown enough hair on her head to get her first trim!!
It was getting all nappy and cotton candy-ish so the time presented itself.
Megs was kind enough to assist me:)
Here are some pics:

She just sprayed herself in the face...Oops!

Bye bye dead ends!

The finished product. Her hair was so smooth after it felt like a different head of hair!

And here is a pic of the front, along with Uncle Trent in a blanket fort.

If you haven't checked out the new
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows
trailer do it NOW!!! You can watch it HERE.
It looks AMAZING!!! I can't wait till November!

Navy's New Room

I decided to move Navy into the other bedroom so that her room could be used for something else:)
Megan & my mom helped me put it together and I think it turned out pretty darn cute!
A lot of the stuff we already had and just painted or re-did.
The rest of the stuff we got at Pottery Barn.
(I LOVE that store!!)

The white iron head board is from the room Megan & I shared all growing up.
There is a matching one that Megan can put in her future daughter's room.
Pssst...Megs you should get on that by the way!

My mom sewed the gingham bed skirt. She also spiced up the plain white lamp shades with some cute fuzzy balls and ric rac trim. Isn't she the bomb?!
Megan donated the daisy flowers and knobs that are hanging on the walls.
They were in her old house and no longer match her decor.
They matched perfectly!

I still need to paint the dresser pink and the frames need to be painted too,
but you get the jist of it.

And here is Navy sleeping in her new room!!
