Three of my friends all got married on the same weekend.

That is what occupied our time the last couple of days.

Mark and Tia got married on Friday the 13th. We went to Tia's reception at the Wright House. It was beautiful of course. They had all kinds of yummy food and candy and the decor and flowers were so pretty! She was a lovely bride.

Mark's reception was in his bride's parent's backyard.

They live in the most gorgeous neighborhood, my dream neighborhood actually, so of course it was wonderful looking! I was obsessing over all the pretty twinkling lights everywhere.

Saturday one of my best friends Cecily got hitched.

I did her makeup for the wedding so the day got started at 7am. Then we were off to the temple by 8:30 for the sealing at 9. After that was the luncheon at 11.

She had the luncheon at the Wright House and it was so pretty! I was in love with her center pieces! Dano was in love with the food. They had Tia Rosa's cater and it was divine!!

Right after the luncheon they had to catch a flight. They were off on their honeymoon to HAWAII for a whole week! What a lucky girl! I bet they are having a blast!

Cecily was one of the most beautiful brides I've ever seen ( and not just because I did her makeup!! ha!). During the sealing ceremony I got all teary. I watched my Cec-squwatch grow up into the beautiful young woman she is now and I am just so proud of her. She couldn't have chosen a better husband. He loves her so much. I was dying over the way he was looking at her from across the altar.

He was mesmorized.

It was beautiful and precious.

The other night Dano discovered a pigeon's nest in a little nook by the roof in the backyard.


There was a cute little egg inside.

Dano thinks that pigeons are the spawn of Satan. He hates them with every fiber of his being so he destroyed the nest. Being a mother I felt sad that she would come back to find her egg and nest taken. It's sad right?! But then again I don't really want a pigeon living in our roof. We washed the egg and let Navy play with it because she kept calling it her baby birdy egg. She loved that egg. Unfortunately it broke 2 minutes later, so that was the end of that.

Last night we went over to my mom's to say hello for a little bit.

She has discovered a new love of jumping all over Ryder.

So that is what she did. For a very long time.

So potty training has been put on hold lately because I just don't feel like cleaning up accidents all day. Navy is going through a "I have to do everything by myself" phase. (I don't think this phase will ever end though if she is anything like me)

Anyways, for the last few days Navy has been changing her own diapers.

She mostly does it when I'm not looking of course. But she takes off her diaper when it is wet and puts a new one on all by herself. This morning was the first time she did it with a poopy diaper. I found her in the bathroom sitting on Mr. Froggy (her frog potty chair). There was an already pooped in diaper laying on the floor along with her shorts. So basically she pooped in her diaper, then hurried to her potty to poop some more. Then she insisted on pouring it into the big toilet and flushing it all by herself.

Does this mean she is ready to be potty trained??!!

I just heard the sound of lots of water being poured all over the floor in the other room. Followed by a big thud and some crying........Guess I'd better go investigate.

This is what I woke up to on Mother's Day morning.

Navy and Dano made a yummy breakfast for me. I thought it was such a sweet gesture.

And yes I got my pedicure gift certificate! Woohoo! My feet are so excited!

(My mom got me one also so my feet will be happy for a while!)

After breakfast I put on a movie and made Navy hold still while I did her hair.
It is one of my new favorite things and since it was Mother's Day
everyone must oblige to my wishes.
(I might have made Dano change every dirty diaper that day. It was my day after all.)

After church we went to the Shreeves to talk to Jake. He is on a church mission in Denmark.

It was so great to talk to him. We all miss him. He gets home in 6 months so we'll get to see him soon!

All of the men made us all Sunday dinner. I have to admit we were all quite worried, but to everyone's surprise it was actually quite delicious! They made grilled steak and chicken, some yummy potatoes, corn, salad, and jello. Pretty impressive for a bunch of crazy dudes.

Jake was on the phone for 5 hours at least. The babies got a little worn out!

My momma had to work on Mother's Day so Megs and I made her dinner Saturday night. I forgot to take pics so I don't have any unfortunately. My mom is the most beautiful and talented and most wonderful person I know. I'm so lucky she is mine! Love you Mom!

Tonight was our Spring Neighborhood Block Party. My fabulous neighbors Jackie and Ann throw these a few times a year. It is the greatest! I love seeing all of the neighbors and getting to know them better. It is full of great food and fun! This time they rented a jumpy jump with a slide. Navy couldn't get enough! She was afraid at first but after a few minutes she got brave and wouldn't come out! She had a blast!

Brock was a little bummed he couldn't participate....maybe next year buddy!!!

I have always wanted to be a mother.

I never would've guessed I'd be a mother at such a young age. It definately wasn't my plan. But I wouldn't change a thing when it comes to having my kids.

I love being a mom to Navy and Brock. They are my everythings and I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have them both.

Yesterday, while I was doing my makeup and hair, Navy spilled a huge puddle of water on the kitchen floor. Then she got yogurt out and fingerpainted it all over my tables and chairs. After that, she found some lotion and styled her hair with it. Sometimes things like this get me upset because I like my house neat and tidy but all I could do was laugh. Navy is hilarious. She is me I swear......but a little worse and I love it. I wouldn't have her be any other way. She is like a little sponge soaking up everything around her. She can say anything now and can string words together into a sentence. She can count to 10 all by herself which is crazy for me because i never taught her how. She loves to sing and dance and run and play and swim and take baths. She is very strong and independent and wants to do EVERYTHING by herself. She is my sweet and sassy Navy May and I love her so much!

Brock is such a fun little baby. I think 8 months is my favorite age. He just crawls all over the house and finds stuff to play with and stuff to stand up on. If I can't find him I know he'll be under my kitchen table standing up and patting the seats of the chairs and crawling in and out and under and over the legs of the chairs. He loves to cuddle and give big slobbery kisses. He loves to grab my hair and yank it and pinch my neck when I feed him his bottle. He loves his sister so much. He is always watching her and laughing at her and trying to steal her blankie. And of course, I love his precious dimply smile. He is the best!

Dano & I took an early anniversary trip for the weekend. Back in November, some guys at Bass Pro cornered us and talked us into a 2 night stay at the Cibola Vista Resort near Lake Pleasant for $99. If you go to the little orientation you get $125 in gift cards to Bass Pro so we were down.

We left on Saturday and stopped and had lunch at Cafe Rumba in Glendale. I used to work at Cafe Rumba when I was a sophomore in high school and I haven't been back since. I was excited to go back and the food didn't disappoint. As soon as I walked in the smells brought back so many fun and hilarious memories. Those were the days! After lunch, we headed to the resort. It ended up being really nice.

All I wanted to do on this trip was see movies so we went and saw Water for Elephants. I can't even express how much I loved this movie. It was fantastic! Dano never likes movies I like and even he gave it a 9 out of 10! It is a must see!!!

Sunday morning was the orientation for ownership. We thought it would be a complete bore but it was actually fun. Weird. Our salesguy was so personable and fun to talk to. In fact, we ended up talking to him for over 2 hours. Usually I would be driven to insanity at this point but it was enjoyable. We said no of course but there were no hard feelings and we were on our merry way.

We grabbed some lunch at Chipotle and wanted to catch another flick at the movie theatre. There was a Krispy Kreme across from the theatre so I wanted to check it out first. It was the biggest Krispy Kreme in the country I swear. It was so cool and there was a milk bar where you could pick your flavorings and they'd mix it up for you. We didn't get a milk but some day I'll come back to try it.

Dano really wanted to see a scarie movie so we chose Insidious. Half way through I decided that I didn't want to see the scary guy because I am home alone with the kids a lot at night. I knew that scary images would be burned in my mind forever on so we saw Soul Surfer instead. I loved that movie too!!! I seriously was choking up and teary eyed all through the movie. I don't know if it was because of hormones or because my eyes hurt so bad from watching so many movies , or just because I'm a cry baby all of a sudden but it was such a great movie. It was clean and inspirational and I just loved it!

For dinner we went to a local family owned Italian restaurant. It was called Cucina Tagliani. The restaurant had the cutest decor. There was lattice on the ceilings with vines strewn in and out all around. Pots of geraniums and other plants covered all of the nooks and crannies and it was just so charming. The food was great too! Every single thing there is made from scratch. They brought out some delicious hot bread and olive oil for dipping. We ordered Pasta Tagliani and Montalcino Chicken. So Yummy! If you are ever in Peoria, Arizona you must try it!!

Their portions are huge so we ordered half sizes and it was the perfect amount.

We came home Monday mid morning. The kids acted excited when they saw us so that made me happy!! I secretly missed them like crazy so I was so glad to be back.
Its Wednesday now and I'm ready for another few nights away.............

An Easter morning tradition that I grew up with is waking up early in the morning and finding your Easter basket out in the backyard. We have kept to this tradition since Dano and I got married so that is how our Easter morning started. Navy thought it was the greatest thing ever that the Easter bunny left us baskets. She found hers in the bushes. After we all found our baskets we went inside to open them. Dano got me some awesome stuff and of course the kids loved their presents and candy. Dano opened his and acted as though he liked his stuff. Later I got it out of him that the Michael Jackson greatest hits CD I got him he already had. I also got him a book I thought he would like. I heard it was really funny. He read a little bit of it and turns out there was profanity in almost every sentence. Oops!!

That was the beginning of a lovely Easter morning turning to crapsville.

The night before Easter I started making rolls I was assigned for Easter dinner. It was a new recipe that I'd never tried. In all honesty, I've never made rolls all by myself before. I've helped my mom make them before but her recipe had things crossed out and no directions so I couldn't make it out. Well all night and all morning I prepared these rolls from this new recipe. I let them rise while we went to church. When we came back from church I took a peek. The rolls hadn't risen a millimeter. I let them rise 4 more hours and nada. I decided to go ahead and bake them and see if they'd magically rise. Nope. They were the most unattractive rolls I've ever seen and tasted even worse. They had the texture of a very dense hockey puck biscuit.

Our Easter dinner party was in an hour and I didn't know what to do. I called Sue up on the verge of tears. She told me she had a couple of muffin mixes I could come pick up. I sent Dano over. When he came back I hurried and mixed up the mixes. One of them was a blueberry mix so I went to get the blueberry can out of the box. I reached in and lo and behold.....no blueberry can. This day could not get any worse. At that point I was crying as I mixed in some nasty stale raisins I found in the cupboard.

I felt like the biggest loser in the world on that Easter afternoon. Motherhood is a lot of things but a big chunk is cooking for your family. Welp turns out I can't cook. I can't make a roll to save my life. I can't even make blueberry muffins from a mix. AND I can't pick out a present for my husband that he won't end up taking back. I sulked all night. We sat by Kiea and Cory at dinner and I watched him as he picked up his pretend blueberry muffin and took a bite. He looked at it funny and then asked me what was in them. I wanted to die in that moment. But hey at least I can live to tell the story.

One good thing that happened on Easter was that Navy sat still for me while I did her hair. It was the first time we used a curling iron and I think it turned out pretty cute!

This morning I woke up with a headache and I just didn't feel that great so I skipped out on the gym. I felt a little better later so I decided to head on over to the zoo. Going to the zoo burns calories my friends. Lots of walking, pushing heavy strollers, chasing toddlers, sweating to death....its great really!

Dano was able to come so it was fun!!

We have never done the sting ray exhibit before. It is SO cool!! We told Navy they were Mr. Ray from Finding Nemo. She kept yelling " Missa Ray Missa Ray". It was so cute. She was a little scared at first but after a while she stuck her hand in. She was too afraid to touch them though. Brock had fun splashing the water too.

Before we went to the zoo, I made Navy some oatmeal for breakfast. I told her it was ready so she came and sat down. She stared at the bowl and exclaimed, " Ewww! Yut! Ewww! Yut!".

Not cool. Where does she learn these things?!

This weekend has been all about family. Lots and lots of family!!

Friday night we had my Dad and siblings over for a barbecue.

Megs and I made a scrumptious dinner. It was a good ole time.

So I have talked about how Brock's feet are blocks but seriously they are. Look. His pinky toe is the same size as his big toe. They go across in a straight line.

Saturday (today) we had another barbecue at our house but with the Shreeve side.

I tried to grill the burgers and almost burnt our house down. Everyone was nice and said they tasted good but I know when people lie. They tasted like charred fire. Have you ever tasted that? It is not good. But everything else was so good! The kids swam and it was going smoothly until Navy went up to Nana Sue with diarrhea running down her legs. It was sickening. Sue and I squirted her down. Kiea picked up the bulk of it that fell out of the suit onto the grass with a paper towel while Dano just played frisbee. Sometimes I swear Dano lives in his own little lala land. The whole world could be burning on fire and he wouldn't have a clue. Besides the diarrhea incident everything went well and we had a ton of fun!

I feel like I haven't seen my mom in forever so we went over there last night.

Megs and Wyatt came over too so the whole gang minus Clint was there.

We ordered pizza and olive garden salad and ate to our hearts' content.

Unfortunately, I do this hearts' content eating thing almost every night....

Anyways, it is always good to hang out with everyone.

Nicole and Sam - my bro and sis in law- live two houses down from my mom

so whenever I go over there I like to walk down there and bug them:)

Nicole needed some plant help while I was there yesterday so I got to see them and my sweet nephew Grady.Sam and Nicole are so ridiculously cute together. Seriously they are perfect. It is crazy!

If ever your husband is nowhere to be found, double check the man cave.

Lately, our husbands have become sucked into all those dumb war games. Luckily its a social thing only.

While trying to hang with the boys, Navy's face fell on the corner of the TV stand.

I am totally loving spring time lately.

Everything in our yard has been blossoming and it makes our yard look happier.

Especially after the brutal winter this past year.

My first rose bloom of the year.

Speaking of blossoming, my little Brocky boy sure is!!

He is becoming a man right before my eyes!

Nothing studlier than a man holding his own bottle right?!

He started crawling a few weeks ago but the same day he started crawling he started pulling himself up to stand too. Is that normal?!!

He got his first pair of real shoes yesterday because when he stands up he has curled feet and I want him to learn how to walk right. Brock's feet are like blocks. They are super wide and super short and what do ya know they had a pair of shoes at the store that were just that! I'll have to post pics soon.

On the same shopping trip I might have accidentally treated myself with a Petunia Picklebottom Diaper Bag. You have to give me a break....I've been carrying around an ugly diaper bag for the last couple of years and I'm sick of it. I want some style in my life!! I thought this one was suitable.

They were all out at the store so they are mailing it to the house.

I am dying for it to arrive so i can move in!!!!

To start off the weekend, I decided that we needed to get cable...or dish I guess! Dano & I have had basic basic cable since we've been married. I'm talking local channels only. We needed to get with the times right?!! So I called the dish people up Friday night and Saturday morning at 7:45 the guy was at my house hooking that sucker up on my roof! Oh boy, have we been missing out! DVR is the most amazing contraption ever invented. Saturday night Dano & I watched 4 episodes of that new mini series The Kennedys. I kept pausing and rewinding and fastforwarding just because I could! It was so dang sweet! ...side note.... Why did I not know that John F. Kennedy was such a sleez bag?!!

Oh and I can not forget that we had a lifechanging event occur besides getting dish I mean. That morning I was bathing the kids. I always get Brock out first so Navy can play for a bit longer before I need to get her out. As I was getting Brock dressed I heard the toilet seat banging so I ran in there to tell Navy to knock it off. Turns out she was putting her potty seat on there so she could go. This never happens. I have put pretty much zero effort into potty training because I just don't feel like I'm motivated enough yet. Back to the point, she sits down and immediately goes poop. Can you believe it?! My sweet Navy May went poop all by her self in the toilet! I have never been so proud!!! Unfortuneatly, my pride was short lived when I had to change 4 other poopy pull-ups that day.....but hey its a start!

Today we celebrated Easter with the Wells clan - my momma's side of the fam. We had a humungous feast of ham, funeral potatoes, sweet potatoes, orange rolls, Olive Garden salad, broccoli salad, corn, fruit salad, pretzel jello, and deviled eggs. Did I partake of every single item? Yes. Did I gain 10 pounds this afternoon? Haven't had the heart to check but yes I'm pretty sure.

After our feast we had an Easter Egg Hunt for the young ins. They had a ball! Watching them run around and squeal when they found an egg made me want to be young again. It looks like so much fun!

Pie was served later. Momma Brock is always in charge of pies and she goes all out. There were coconut cream pies, chocolate cream pies, a lemon cream pie and a strawberry pie. My favorite would be the coconut and boy was it worth every fatty calorie!

Lily, Navy and Neveah are all 6 months apart from each other. It has finally gotten to the point where they can all play together and they really play well. Navy had SO much fun tonight! She talked about "Leelee" and "Vaya" until she conked out on her pillow.

Brock wanted some grub too. Lily kept saying No my food!

Navy, Audrey and Naveah. Audrey is always up to date with the latest trends. She's our go to girl. She treated all of us girls with the new feather fad. I now have a feather extension in my hair! I have never felt so daring! I'll have to post a pic soon. Thanks Audrey!

I think Brock was getting on Lily's nerves tonight. He kept trying to take her stuff!

These yahoos were pounding on the piano and screaming their lungs off in the living room. We all came running thinking they were fighting or something was wrong. Turns out screaming is just singing to them. Who knew??

Don't worry. Toddlers love salsa picante fritos.

Oh wait they loved it until their mouths turned on fire and screamed "HOT....WAWA!

Not every day is a great one but so far today really has been!

It all started out waking up all on my own instead of to the sound of a child crying.

It was pure bliss. I got up and actually woke my children up instead of the other way around.

Dano took the day off today so we went to the gym together.

Step Aerobics kicked my butt. It was amazing!

(It actually kicks me and Megs butts triweekly. You'd think we'd get used to it.)

After the gym, we dropped the kiddos off with Nana Sue (Dano's mom).

She called me yesterday in need of some gardening help so today was all about that.

Dano and I went to Home Depot, my most favorite place on this Earth, and A&P Nursery to get some great things to fill an empty space in her pool area.

Dano watched the kids while Sue and I worked hard shoveling, raking, planting , and running drip lines for the whole afternoon. It was quite refreshing. To me, there is nothing better than hurling a shovel as hard as you can into the ground and jumping up and down on it. It does the body good my friends.

It turned out great and I can't wait till everything fills in and blooms!

Here is our finished product. I'm totally digging the rose tree in the middle back. They are Peace roses which are in my opinion the most beautiful!

On the right side are plumbego bushes. When they bloom they will look like this.

Isn't the periwinkle blue color to die for?!

And you can't tell from the picture but we planted a snail vine along the pool fence. I have snail vine in my backyard and they are gorgeous! They grow like a weed so they cover up your wall fast. I am not very patient so things that grow fast make me happy. By the end of summer it should look a little like this.

*** If anyone was wondering, I faced the vacuum lady and after another hour and a half she finally left my house. Yes she fought a great fight and yes she lowered the price over a thousand dollars to get me to buy it but I did not back down. I am proud of myself for this.

My BFF Lar!!!!

I just feel like giving a shout out to my dearest friend.

I have known this sweet gal since before I could talk and she really has been the best.

No matter how many years go by we can get together and its like no time has gone by.

Almost every day I get a random, hilarious text from her that makes me burst into

hysterical fits of laughter which lightens my mood considerably.

I love you friend:)

Also, I would like to brag that BFF Lar totally spoiled me for my birthday this year!

First, she got me the awesomest present ever!

Second, she took me to brunch to our favorite place ever! Cracker's!

And last but not least, we caught a flick at the movies!

May I just say Lar, that day was one of the greatest of my life with children

because 5 hours without my kids was heaven!! Ha!

Yesterday there was a knock on the door. Two nice looking people were waiting behind it. They informed me that they were giving away free carpet shampoos for one room in the house if I gave them referrals to other people. I had a crying baby in one arm and one leg held up on the door frame so Navy wouldn't bolt out the door...so I said yes to make them hurry and go away. The nice lady came over today. To my disappointment they were not a carpet cleaning company, which was my original thought. They were trying to sell me a CARPET CLEANER.

So, for an hour and a half she was showing me numerous contraptions on this amazing vacuum/carpet cleaner/broom/mop/any type of cleaner your house could possibly need. Don't get me wrong, this machine is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life. It sucked up probably a pound of dust, dirt and crap from just my family room rug and got out sicknasty newborn diarrhea stains on the carpet in Brock's room. It is AMAZING. But soon enough, the conversation of price came up and all my hopes and dreams were shot down. This fabulous vacuum is over $2,000 my friends.

If i bought that sucker Dano would KILL me.

She wouldn't leave without me buying it. I tried to tell her every excuse known to man but of course, she would not back down. I finally got her to leave but she decided to leave the vacuum here so I could stare at it till Dano got home so that she can come back to get it and talk him into buying it.

I told Dano this over the phone after she left. He told me to call her and tell her we can't afford it. I am sitting here....stressing more than I have about anything. I feel as though I would like to throw myself in front of a bus right now. I HATE dealing with these people. It is so hard for me to get rid of them. Please someone HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finishing school, etc. etc.

I have lots of dreams.

One in particular is writing a book.

In my mind it is a little silly and dumb but I seriously want to.

I know that most likely a lot of the dreams I have will be just dreams

and honestly writing a book?!

It will probably be just a dream too

BUT

I have been thinking that there is a way to accomplish this sorta.

I can print off my blog at the end of each year

and wahlah!

So, I am going to try to blog about my life more often than every 4 months.

I want to include stories about the kids

and who knows maybe even share some feelings I have here and there.

When I am bones and dust buried 6 feet under,

I want my great great great grandchildren to know who I was

and to know what my life was like.

There are so many questions I have about family members

who are gone now.

I wonder what they thought and if I am anything like them.

So this is going to be my new outlet.

Hopefully I will follow through:)

Zoo Fun

I haven't posted in SO LONG! So here is a little update. I'm way behind but this is the most recent outing we have been on. Last month Megan and I took Brock and Navy to the zoo. Navy has been obsessed with the Lion King lately so she was way stoked to see "Simba".

We've been to the zoo a few times but have never fed the giraffes. This was our first time and it was so worth it! I don't like animals really ....any sort. I mean I can look at them but I hate to touch anything so I was afraid. But they are so pretty upclose. They have the longest thickest lashes I've ever seen! It freaked me out a tad when their mile long tongue wrapped around the food but it was pretty cool!

We had a grand ol' time! If you don't have a zoo pass you should get one! I paid $80 for a year...it gets me, a guest adult and my 2 kids in for free. Great deal!

Idaho

A couple of weekends ago we headed to Idaho to visit my brother Clint and his fabulous wife Haylee!

We flew up to Salt Lake and drove from there 2 hours to little ole Pocatello.

Haylee and Clint go to Idaho State University and live in a really cute apartment just a short walk away from campus. It was so great to see them and we had so much fun!

Yesterday Zorba (my grandpa who is Greek and likes to refer to himself as Zorba) was doing what "normal" 76 year olds do. He was running around backwards in a parking lot. Pretty soon he says he was flying through the air. He landed on his ribs and one broke. That rib punctured his lung and so to the hospital he went.

He is coming home today or tomorrow so my mom decided to have his house all clean and his jungle of a front yard mowed before he gets home. She asked me if I'd help her with the house part so this morning that is what we did.

We cleaned that sucker good and boy was it messy! Navy and Brock helped too of course.

I feel like I haven't done any service for anyone in such a long while. I have had a lot of people serve me lately....bringing dinners, watching the kids etc.etc. I am so thankful for all of my friends and family who always help me out! Today though it felt so great to serve someone else instead of the other way around. I hope that I will look for more opportunities to serve other people and do it on a regular basis.

And Zorba I hope you get to feeling better!!

It took a couple of days for Navy to get used to having him around, but she loves him to pieces! She thinks it is so funny when he cries and will laugh. She also likes to button and unbutton his onesie when I change his diaper and she likes to pat his head and his back and gives him kisses!

She had worked Saturday from 7am to 7pm and then stayed with me right after till 3:30 in the morning. What a trooper!

Megs was there too. She had to deal with Navy all day while I chilled in a hospital bed doped up on epidural. Yum!

Navy has officially grown enough hair on her head to get her first trim!!

Navy's New Room

I decided to move Navy into the other bedroom so that her room could be used for something else:)

Megan & my mom helped me put it together and I think it turned out pretty darn cute!

A lot of the stuff we already had and just painted or re-did.

The rest of the stuff we got at Pottery Barn.

(I LOVE that store!!)

There is a matching one that Megan can put in her future daughter's room.

My mom sewed the gingham bed skirt. She also spiced up the plain white lamp shades with some cute fuzzy balls and ric rac trim. Isn't she the bomb?!

Megan donated the daisy flowers and knobs that are hanging on the walls.

They were in her old house and no longer match her decor.

They matched perfectly!

I still need to paint the dresser pink and the frames need to be painted too,

but you get the jist of it.

My little Navy is officially 1 and not so little anymore!!

This year was amazing. I don't know what I'd do without my pookster.

She has made our lives so much better and so much more fun!

We threw Navy a birthday party at the park with both of our families.

We had subs and yummy food and scrumptious cupcakes made by the amazing Wendy Stevens.

To answer some questions....

We did do mostly everything by ourselves with a lot of help from family.

My dad installed the cabinets and did the tile in the kitchen/family room area and the bathroom showers.

Dano did the tile floor in the living room, hallway, and bathrooms.

Dano and his cousin Eric replaced sliding glass doors with a window

in the master and french doors in the family room, raised the ceiling in the kitchen, replaced all doors, knocked down walls, built walls back up, etc.etc.

I was able to paint the whole house while my family babysat the baby.

Dano's friend Kyle did all of the plumbing...by the way I definately recommend him if you need one!

The list goes on and on my friends.

Has It Really Been 4 Months?!

It has been a LONG time since I've posted anything!

We at the Shreeve household have been

SUPER

busy!

In the last four months we have....

1. Continued to work on our house.

2. Celebrated Navy's first Halloween in Urgent Care...nasty ear infection:(

but was able to throw on her costume to pass out candy.

3. Sent Dano's brother Jake off on his mission.

4. Moved out of Mom's and into our own house!!! Yes!

5. Had two wonderful Thanksgivings!

6. Got everything settled in to the new house.

7. Had the best Christmas ever! Navy loved it!

8. Learned that Navy is allergic to penicillin.

9. Welcomed Dano's brother Sam home from his mission in Russia.

10. Celebrated the new year by falling asleep on the couch at 8:30pm. Welcome to parenthood my friends:)

11. And finally, attended my brother Clint and new sister-in-law Haylee's wedding.

What a busy year 2009 has been! I guess we'll see what 2010 has in store!

Fabric & Pups

Today Megan & I headed on over to our newly beloved JoAnn Fabrics.

We have been sewing ...well more like Mama Brock has been sewing curtains for our new houses.

Anyways, as all of you craftly ladies know, this week is Midnight Madness.

So we walked in the store, coupons in hand.

Fabric was picked out and cut in the first 15 minutes of our shopping trip.

Guess how the next fourty five minutes in JoAnn's was spent????

....................

IN LINE!

The saddest part about that is that there was only one lady in front of us.

A more "mature" lady was arguing with the guy about her coupon and the total on the receipt.

The guy was a mute..didn't utter a word...just stared at the receipt FOREVER!

This went on for about fifteen minutes.

Meanwhile, twenty othere people got in line behind us.

The dude finally had the brains to call for backup and the manager came up to help.

The "mature" lady was helped within a minute and it was finally our turn.

The guy took our yellow receipt and scanned it.

Just our luck! Only one item came up so he had to type everything else in by hand.

I've never in my life seen someone type that slow.

Navy could've done it faster!

Megan was getting so impatient and angry I could see fire in her eyes and could hear her blood boiling!

She grabs the receipt from the guy and starts doing it herself!

Manager lady steps in and tells the guy she will finish our ticket.

Its finished in one milasecond!

We leave.

We will never go back to JoAnn Fabrics on Gilbert & Southern.

Ryder's friend Hunter had 8 puppies so we went and looked at them the other day and just had to have them! After A LOT of convincing I talked Dano into getting two! (So they had a playmate of course!)

Her name is Lexus and she loves playing with her brother and sister!

They got tired after exploring the backyard. Aren't they so cute!!

I am officially OBSESSED with The Hunger Games! I LOVE THESE BOOKS! They are my most favorite series yet! If you haven't yet, you MUST pick it up and read! You will not be able to put it down! I read it and its sequel in two and a half days in between working on my house and taking care of Navy. Thank you Lar for encouraging me to read these books!!!!

I hate football!

Pulling up in the Mountain View parking lot an hour late to Ryder's game, we got a text that he was hurt, followed by a pic of a fire truck pulled up to the field. As we were scurrying to park Dano's brother Jake and his friend came up to our window. We asked what was going on and they said some kid was paralyzed on the field! I said, "THATS MY BROTHER!!" and jumped out of the truck.

Turns out they were kidding and felt bad, but not knowing this, I ran as fast as I could onto the field balling my eyes out because I thought I'd have a vegetable of a brother lying there. I ran into Megan and she quickly filled me in.

Ryder leaned in for a block and somehow hurt his neck. After the play he staggered off the field. His legs gave out from under him, he blacked out and was on the ground.

Megan & I walked over to where Ryder was, joining my mom, dad, and some pretty cute firefighters ( am I allowed to say that??). Ryder asked my dad for a blessing. One of the firefighters was kind enough to assist my dad in administering the blessing.

The ambulance showed up shortly after and Ryder was taken away to St. Joe's Hospital. He was given a CT scan and then had to wait for the results. Megan, Wyatt, Marci, Kelly and myself waited in the waiting room while my mom and dad waited with Ryder.

It came back all clear. It was just a "zinger" (what does that mean?) maybe a scare? He had a slight concussion and had a sore neck and back but other than that he was fine. WHAT A RELIEF!! The only downer is he can't ever play football again....I'll miss watching his games. He has quite some talent!

So that was the background story. Here is the real reason I posted today:)

Ryder of course did not attend school today so he was at home. After school a TON of boys were at the door. Ryder's friends came over to surprise him and see how he was doing. They were so happy that he was okay.

I had no idea so many boys could fit in this house!

My mom bought pizza and soda for all the hungry boys! Yum!

The boys wrote Ryder's name and number on their arms at school today in honor of him!

How lucky he is to have such great friends that truly love and care about him. There are so many people that called to make sure he was okay and so many prayers that were offered for him. Our family is so blessed to have so much support and so many loving people surrounding us!

Its Been A While

The last month has been pretty busy!! Here is what we have been up to lately.....

We went to the Jolley Family Renion in Pinetop. The weather was great and it was fun to get to know Dano's side of the family.

We have also MOVED!!!
HALLELUJAH!!!

We finally closed on our house and have started to fix it up.

In the mean time we are staying with Mama Brock.

We have moved in, and Clint has moved out! He is now an Idaho Bengal!!

This weekend we went to Pinetop to celebrate the 4th with the whole Wells clan!! It was such a blast and so great to spend time with everyone:)

Today Navy, Megan, & I went to the mall and while we were shopping we passed by The Icing. I went in to see how old you have to be to get your ears pierced and they said all you have to have is your DTaP shot. Navy had that shot so I was in! She hardly cried at all! By the time I checked out she was smiling and happy again! We got a little carried away with the camera but here are some pics of Navy with her bling!

Dano & I celebrated our one year anniversary last Friday! I can't believe a year has already come and gone. Time sure flies! We went to a nice resort in Tuscon to relax and get away. We only stayed one night because I missed the baby too much! Mom and Megs were kind enough to watch Naves for us.

Blessing Day

Today was Navy's blessing day. It started out with waking up at 7am frantic because we had to be at church by 8. I was stressing trying to get myself and the baby ready. I had no time to feed Naves so I pumped really quick and we were off to the church. As soon as we saved seats for our families I fed Navy a bottle and she was good to go. I was so so nervous that she would scream through the blessing!! I was so nervous I felt like throwing up....I wonder what Dano felt like since he was the one giving the blessing! To make a long story short the blessing was amazing. Dano did such a great job and so did Navy. It was so sweet and really touched my heart! I just love that little girl....she is the sweetest thing. Afterwards, we took many pics and had brunch at my moms house. It was so much fun!!!

Today Dano & I took some videos and pics for Uncle Sam. Sam is Dano's brother who is on a mission in Russia. Navy will be 8 months old when he comes home to meet her, so we like to keep him updated. On March 5, 2009 at 2:03AM my water broke!!! I woke up Dano, called my mom crying and then took a quick shower before heading to the hospital. I started having contractions when we pulled into the parking lot ( at 2:54 haha I know all the times...sad). I started out dilated at a 3 1/2 and 90% thinned out. ( The day before I had a doc appt and i was a 1 1/2 and 80% thinned out. The doc had told me there was no way I was having the baby this week!! The baby had different plans!) Mom and Megs got to the hospital about 5 AM because they were too excited to sleep! About an hour after they got there I decided to get an epidural... I was done trying to be tough! The epidural was great! I felt like I was floating on clouds! They transferred me to the delivery room a little while later and there we waited. Wyatt came to hang out and later picked up my brothers. Then Clint, my dad, and Dano's parents came. It was a full house! My epidural wore off on one side by this time. The contractions were intense!! We decided to redo the epidural. It took a long time to kick in but finally it did. They checked me and I was dilated all the way and completely thinned out! Time for a practice push!! It went good so the doctor was called. By the way my doctor is the most awesome person! I love her! Her name is Doctor Peatross and she is so funny and entertaining and made delivery as fun as it could be haha! At 12:27 pm I started pushing and 3 pushes later at 12:33 pm Navy May Shreeve was here! I was totally overcome with emotion, I could barely see out of my eyes! She was absolutely perfect! I just can't get enough of this baby! Thanks to all of our family and friends that have helped us and that have visited and especially to Mom and Megs for being there with from the crack of dawn till the night.

Bumper Pads!!!

The baby's room is slowly making progress. My mom and I picked out fabric to make bumper pads for the crib last week and today she sewed all day and finished! I don't have crib sheets yet, so you have to use your imagination. They turned out so cute though I think!! My mom is the best!

This is baby Navy's foot. I can't wait for her to come! I want to see her little toesies and paint her nails. I'm tired of waiting! Ten weeks left!
